The MDS Model 2120 Document Scanner is a user friendly, high speed scanner. The document stacker has a 500 sheet capacity. It is run by a smooth operating elevator lift. Paper jams are rare, thanks to an optical sensor that detects double-fed documents. The simple, yet durable construction has few replaceable parts. The scan head is a CCD Array. The light source is from a Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) with a life expectancy of greater than 10,000 hours.

The MDS 2120 Document Scanner can run in simplex (one-side) or duplex (double-side) mode. It can handle documents 2.75 inches up to 8.50 inches wide, and up to legal size in length. The scan speed ranges from 180 images per minute simplex/360 images per minute duplex (check size) to 60 images per minute simplex/120 images per minute duplex (letter size).

Checks, loan documents, legal documents and medical records and claims can easily be scanned for storage or input into your system. A built in Red Drop-out lamp allows scanning documents such as HCFA Medical Forms using less computer memory.

The optional Endorser allows for an imprint up to 30 characters and spaces and uses a common inkjet cartridge. Financial institutions need to capture their daily work, such as Check Images, Teller Vouchers, Signature Cards, Credit Files, etc. The MDS 2120 Series Document Scanner allows for daily document capture, plus the added convenience of instant retrieval! No longer must you wait to expose an entire roll of microfilm, then develop it. Images you scan and save to disk or CD are immediately available for retrieval. Software is available to scan, store, index and retrieve checks using the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) line on checks. This allows for check retrieval by Account Number, Check Number, Routing Number, even Dollar Amount (if encoded).
