Speed and outstanding image quality makes the MDS-2500 your imaging solution. The MDS-2500
Document Scanner is capable of scanning multiple size documents at speeds of up to 220 checks per
minute or 60 letter size documents per minute.
Thanks to the built-in border erasure and de-skewing features, you no longer need to purchase expensive
software programs. You can use simple imaging programs to capture your images. With the Adaptive
Threshold Processing (ATP) feature, your scanned images achieve new levels of brightness.
The Auto Length Detection feature automatically adjusts the scan window when scanning mixed length
documents. The Auto Cropping feature allows the user to select an area of the document to be captured.
The Scan Limit feature allows the user the flexibility to set parameters to scan a pre-determined number of
documents.
Designed for high-volume scanning, the MDS-2500 has a 500 sheet capacity document stacker run by a
smooth operating elevator lift paper feed. Paper jams are rare, thanks to an optical sensor that detects double-
fed documents.
Source documents, from check size up to legal size, are scanned with speeds up to 220 checks per minute
(duplex, 200 dpi) or 60 pages per minute for letter size documents (duplex, 220 dpi), increasing productivity
and workflow.
The light source is from a Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) with a life expectancy of greater than
10,000 hours. A built-in Red Drop-out lamp allows for scanning of documents such as HCFA Medical
Forms using less computer memory. The SCSI-II / TWAIN interface is easily incorporated into existing
operating system platforms.
An optional Endorser, which uses a common inkjet cartridge, allows for an imprint of up to 30 characters/
spaces while your documents are being scanned.
